IS IT THE RIGHT TIME TO END?

Hello to all!
Hope you and your families are keeping safe amidst
this pandemic and acting as responsible citizens by
strictly adhering to social distancing and the measure given by WHO.

I am gonna tell you all a story now of a man called Jai........
He is Jai a B.tech student.
A random thought in the middle of the night has paved way to this story and
no particular person or
real-life incident has triggered me to write this. Purely fiction.
Its gonna be extreme, raw and maybe even disturbing for a few.
My sincere apologies.I will be taking a few references from movies and books.
All the due credits will be given within 48 hours
of publication.

Ok so lemme give you a prologue and character description of Jai
before we move into the story.
Appearance: 5'10'' tall, fair, muscular with a stern and serious outlook.
Character: Simple, Intelligent, Profound thinker, High expectations and dreams for life,
Currently undergoing a tough phase in life.
Dream/Ambition: Freedom..............Freedom in life

Prologue:
As usually, the Sharma house was on full fire even though the sun had just risen.
Mr & Mrs Sharma have already started their morning rituals
of abusing each other followed by a strong lecture to Jai.
Mr.Sharma wants him to complete his B.Tech, complete MBA and
take up the family business.
On the other hand, Mrs Sharma wants him to go to the US
near her father and join his company.
These aren't any expectations or desires just
poor little Jai was being used as a mere tool by the Sharmas
to show their dominance over each other and also act like the boss.
Jai was constantly subjected to torture and mental stress.
He wanted to do Astrophysics. He yearned for
freedom in his life very badly. Often, sat depressed and alone.
However, things seemed a bit bright when Shefali came into his life.
His one true love: Shefali.
But, I guess fate had another plan for our boy.
Yesterday night Shefali ditched Jai and went for James
the uber-cool and hi-fi handsome guy of the college.
The whole society mocks him,
his own family is highly disinterested in him,
his love ditched him
None wants to hear out Jai.
He is feeling suffocated and depressed. He wants freedom.
And he finally decides that the ultimate freedom of life is death.....
Suicide....Its time..Its high time to leave earth and
be free from this pain, frustration, grief....

Current Scenario: In the middle of the night!
Amidst the scary gloominess engulfing all the 4 directions
and the dark chilly winds swaying everything that comes in their way.
Jai is on top of a mountain cliff.
To his left was a forest
To his right was the way back to home
In front of him, step away was the steep and
dangerous opening welcoming him with open arms.
And this is what he thinks of everything!

Amidst the scary darkness around him
The dark thoughts inside him were even more dangerous
One step away into the darkness he would gain the ultimate freedom from this chaos...
Is this the right step? will it give him the freedom he is yearning for or will it also betray him like
his
home??
He looks in all 3 directions thinking.....

To his right
The depressing and deceiving home..he never wanted to go there again!!!!

He looks to his left into the powerful and high spirited forest.
Should he go to the forest?? Is it where freedom lies??
If you don't kill you can't live
In order to live you have to kill
This is what is taught by forest
And here I am seeking freedom in the forest.

One step away freedom
One step away Warfield

What to do?

He analyzes the 3 options once again!

Forest:
He looks deep inside the jungle trying to understand what's life out there....

War... kill to live...live to kill
But after the war will he get the freedom he is yearning for??
And he suddenly he hears faint but horrifying roar... followed by a loud wail
He realized that the
Predator has found its Prey and the hunter got hunted!!
Victory or defeat
Blood... Bodies......Tears...Mourning
These are the sights one would find after a war...
So is this the cost of freedom??
No, this war for survival...isn't the way to freedom

Now he looks straight...The Mountain Cliff
One Step far from the opening
Two minutes away from his death
The best solution of the Three options
Echoed by all the Four directions
Five thousand metres of travel
Six triannual periods of suffering
A thought inside for Seven Biennial periods
Perfect weather for the climate to play Eight nodes of death
Nine minutes to sunrise
Ten unfulfilled dreams

Wait, wait, wait, wait..............
Ten dreams of
Astrophysics, Bungalow, CEO, Dubai-Skydiving, Experiments, Family, Girlfriend-Wife, Humanity,
ISRO,
and finally
Jai-The Most respected and celebrated Scientist
He starts wondering now, what is freedom?
Freedom that comes with death or
Freedom that comes when he achieves his dreams??
What will I really achieve by death?
Every being on this planet has a purpose and a role.
The Sun begins to rise despite the darkness, moon and thick clouds, it rises high and mighty
fighting its way.
Jai stares at this and thinks

"The world runs with greed and it won't stop for anyone..we ought to stop it"
"When we don't laugh at the same problem again and again! Why cry on the same problem
again and again??"

Night has to be followed by the day
Moon has to make way for the same

Problems can be solved with little alterations!!
And he walks back as a changed man towards the same old stinking society of his!!

Thank You guys!!

  6. Just like this character Jay many people in this real world have to face the vagaries of life sometimes all alone with nobody to appreciate their point of view. A few are lucky and go ahead to realise their dreams without much conflict and frustrations. Guidance comes to those who are determined to pursue their goals patiently with a sense of optimism.

  7. Every time dusk is followed by dawn and dawn is followed by dusk
Enjoying both colours is the real destiny. The river is obstructed by huge mountains in its way to meet the ocean. But it never stops there It takes a turn and proceeds
If we have the determination we will reach our goals with optimistic views
Good narration of simple truth of life
    Keep going
